2002 Webpage Update Backlogs
October 13, 2002
The long-awaited (or at least I've waited a long time to do it) fourth image gallery has arrived. It includes images from my trip to Tokyo while I was a student at Kansai Gaidai University. I have many more image galleries to put together with pictures from temples, shrines, Himeji castle, Miyajima, and Hiroshima, but this is all I can spit out at the moment when I should be doing homework.

Jimmy taught me how octal numbering works and how to use it to set permissions. This was fairly helpful since fedora (shas's server) hiccuped while I was uploading and tightened its sphincter around my files. :)

I've taken a group of old journal entries describing my wanderings in Kyushu while I was on spring break and paperclipped them together under Footsteps. This way, it's with similar content and not buried under months of weblog entries.

No new content this month, guys. School is in session again and I'm taking a score of yummy classes: Politics of China, Intro to Telecom (a slightly more interdisciplinary engineering class), Writing Expository Prose, Japanese Conversation and Composition, and INST 401.
I've been rather preoccupied as per normal with the typical distractions. Check my journal for more frequent updates in the battle against myself at my livejournal.

Thanks to help of (Warning, all links in this entry are indefinitely broken, see entry 6-11-03) Shas/Glover and the services of (except this one; it works) HammerNode, I finally have my own domain name, Windchaser.org! My site is still hosted by the fabulous Shas/Glover, but now you can input a much easier name to find me. To see another reason why Shas is so cool, go check out his web radio station with its personalized rating system and dynamic play list.

The momentum continued tonight (even though I should be doing homework) to update more. Thus, I added five poems to the new section, Footsteps, as well as a rather blatant plea for feedback from anyone who might take the time to read it. The poetry is only in that section temporarily until I can find a better place to put it (or more likely expand a writing section with more, gasp, content).

After nearly a year of neglect, I allowed myself to spend a brief night to include a small delight I found the other day: my journals from my short trip to China almost two years ago. I've typed them up and started a new section called Footsteps.
I have many more plans for updating the site, but honestly, I've got a lot more on my mind and am still preoccupied with addictive Asherons Call.
Any 2001 update descriptions have been backlogged.
